Hello! My name is Sara. I am in my 3rd term of the Leadership program with a focus on Higher Education. I hope to work for North Central when I finish as I really enjoy this community. I am hoping to start my career as an Area Hall Director but I am also still investigating what position I would like to be in long term.
I graduated from North Central in 2011 and have since held several jobs before deciding to return to school. I am currently the Graduate Assistant here at North Central for the College Scholars Honors Program and until very recently I was a nanny for two year old twins and their 9 year old brother. I was with that family for several years and I loved my job.
I left my second job because my dad is very sick and now I am more available to be with him. He also graduated from North Central and is a constant inspiration to me and influences my goals.
Intellectual interest:
I enjoy listening to NPR podcasts such as 1A or npr politics. Taking an interest in politics is new to me. Ever since November it has seemed important to pay attention. I saw Bernie Sanders speak on campus this past year and he was very inspirational. I'm currently reading his book "Our Revolution". I also am interested by various social issues and current events. I also love Disney and Harry Potter which is one reason I was a fabulous nanny.
